ESLA Young Lawyers

The Eastern Solicitors Law Association aims to promote networking and mentoring opportunities to young lawyers throughout their legal careers. ESLA runs a Connections and Caffeine get together to support local businesses within the eastern suburbs that all young lawyers are welcome to attend.

 

According to the Law Institute Victoria, 'Young Lawyers' include:

• Law students 
• Law graduates 
• Legal practitioners aged under 36 years of age 
• Legal practitioners with less than six years of post-admission experience

To join ESLA as a member, you must also be a member of the Law Institute Victoria (LIV) which includes:

• The LIV provides free membership for undergraduate law students. Please click here to become a LIV student member. 
• The LIV provides a 70% discount on membership for those undergoing SLT or PLT who do not hold a practising certificate. Please click here to become a LIV graduate member.

Stella Richards

Stella came to law a little later in life, after a successful career as an occupational therapist. Now working as a solicitor, Stella is passionate about supporting and mentoring early career lawyers with the transition into law.

Stella is also the Suburban Young Lawyers Representative of the Young Lawyers Executive Committee at the LIV, and a proud member of the LIV.
