📣 Notice of AGM

Members of the Eastern Solicitors Law Association (ESLA) are given notice of and  invited to attend the Annual General Meeting to be held on Tuesday 11 November 2025.

The AGM provides an opportunity to:

• Hear updates from the ESLA Committee

• Elect new or reelct Committee Members

• Discuss plans and priorities for the year ahead

• Raise matters of interest to the membership

All members are encouraged to attend and participate.

Before the AGM, we invite members to review the ESLA Rules, which govern the structure, responsibilities, and procedures of the association.

📝 Committee Nominations

All ESLA Committee positions are declared vacant at the AGM. If you’re passionate about supporting your local legal community, you can nominate yourself or a fellow ESLA member.

❌ Can’t Attend the AGM? Submit a Proxy Form

We understand that not everyone can make it to the AGM in person. If you're unable to attend, you can still have your say by appointing someone to vote on your behalf.

✅ What Is a Proxy?

A proxy is a person you authorize to attend the AGM and vote on your behalf. This ensures your voice is heard—even if you’re not in the room.

📄 How to Complete and Submit a Proxy Form

2. Fill in Your Details

   • Include your full name, address, and membership number (if applicable).

3. Appoint Your Proxy

   • Nominate any eligible person to act as your proxy.

   • If left blank, the Chair of the meeting will act as your proxy by default.

4. Indicate Your Voting Preferences

   • Clearly mark your choices for each resolution (For, Against, Abstain).

   • Do not mark more than one option per item—this will invalidate your vote.

   • If no instructions are given, your proxy may vote at their discretion.

5. Sign the Form

   • Sign the form.

6. Submit the Form

   • Email: ESLACommittee@gmail.com

   • Ensure it arrives before the deadline—late submissions are invalid.

All proxy forms must be received by 12 noon on Friday, 7 November 2025 to be valid.
